WeJoySing at Home

Some of the must fun I’ve had with WeJoySing has been with my nephews, Jason and Evan. Now three and two years old, both have been in several WeJoySing classes with their mom, dad, and now grandma! Fortunately for me, I’ve also been able to see them in class several times on Monday mornings with Mrs. Lynnette.

WeJoySing for us, however, doesn’t stop when we leave class. The whole family has found times when bounces, wiggles, tickles, etc. are both fun as well as useful. We’ve used them at home, at restaurants, at church (quietly!), really any place where we might need something fun to do. It’s like having an extra bag of tricks when the two year old next to you might just start to get a little out of control if the food doesn’t come soon. So yes, wiggles at the table have worked!

This winter session in the infant classes we have been doing a bounce called “Let’s Go Riding Together”. We bounce face-to-face and then tilt side-to-side going “this way” and “that way”. It reminded me of a video I took not too long ago of my mom and sister doing a bounce with Jason and Evan. The best part is at the very beginning. As soon as the bounce begins, both boys break out into the hugest smiles! This is something I see frequently in classes as well. Bounces are so much fun and such a great way to learn!

So, as much fun as you have in class, remember, what you’re learning is also a great tool to bring home!!
